Our Lasting Community Connections

We as a company like to create a connection with the communities around the lodges we visit.A practical way this is done is to arrange village walks in the villages by the lodges. We then create a bond with families that are regularly visited and supported financially or with gifts.we for example have a long going relationship with coffee farmers and local producers who visitors find it fascinating to visit and they benefit by receiving support. In the villages we have created troops and dancers, which consists of ladies from the villages who perform traditional dances for our visitors and receive support for doing so. Around the Lodges we have also taken the initiative to work with reformed poachers, you can learn more about our impact and initiatives when you book with us.

Want To Contribute?

Bring along left over clothes, shoes or toys that can be given to families in need in the villages in the areas around the lodge’s we visit. Or school supplies like pens and writing pads for the schools. If you include a day in Kampala during your safari a visit to kids we help or if you have time in bwindi don’t hesitate to visit community school and Good luck primary this can be arranged (if school is in session). You get to learn about the school, how they work under challenging conditions and meet the lovely children. Working Towards Conservation

We love Uganda’s scenic nature, interesting animals & lovely birds and wish it all to be here for future generations to enjoy. Conservation is a big word and can feel daunting but we have choose to look at it in a people perspective. If the communities living next to the parks see the benefits of the animals & nature they will assist in protecting the national parks, which is the key to stopping poaching & illegal use of the national parks natural recourses. In the spirit of “all efforts count” we have chosen to get involved in the area close to our the Lodges we visit which is by the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, famous for its primates and mountain Elephants.
